Our United Way Community Garden works in providing the basic needs, helping to feed the hungry and become self-sufficient. You can help by donating your extra fresh fruits and vegetables to our Community Garden, helping those in need. What a great way to use up your extras from your garden and help those who need it.
The United Way Community Garden raises thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables each year, that are distributed throughout the community by way of local shelters, food pantries, and hunger relief organizations.
Located on Euclid Avenue, in front of Michigan Sugar, and you can drop off Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays before 11 am at the Garden Shed. We have partnered with Hidden Harvest who will then pick up the produce and distribute it to various soup kitchens and homeless shelters to help feed the people in our community who are in need.
